Progress messages are not error messages. Rather, they indicate what the lgc compiler is doing. Generation of progress messages is disabled at verbosity level 2 and below. At verbosity level 3 (the default) the lgc compiler gives information about the major steps of the compilation. At verbosity level 4, the lgc compiler generates more progress messages. If a compilation takes very long time or the lgc compiler seems to behave strangely, increasing the verbosity level may be a first step in locating the roots of the problem.
